Honduras will be making their second appearance in a World Cup, thanks to the "Honduran Hero," US player Jonathan Bornstein, who scored a last minute goal in the US's final qualifying match against Costa Rica. That final goal pushed Honduras into the WC and Costa Rica out. The president of Honduras declared the qualification for the 2010 WC, a national holiday and invited Bornstein to visit as a special guest, no visa needed.Honduras will be playing in Group H with Spain, Switzerland and Chile.
Player to Watch
Julio Cesar de Leon, or 'Rambo' spent the last season with Torino and is sort of a free-kick specialist. Scored a spectacular qualification goal against the US, as you can see below.
