When you think of great football nations, Uruguay does not always come to mind, but Uruguay who hosted the first World Cup back in 1930 and won it too. They won their second Cup in 1950. This will be their first WC since 2002, and they are a potential dark horse. They will be playing in Group A, along with South Africa, Mexico and France. This will not be an easy group to advance out of, but if they can pull it off they will have the potential and history to shock everyone.
This will be a fun group to watch. I'm pulling for Mexico and South Africa. It's always cool to see the host nation advance on.
