Timbers Revise MLS Badge

The Timbers front office announced some tweaks to the MLS logo that was unveiled June 12th. The Timber's Army and the 107ist in particular, worked with the front office to come to a design that we can call an improvement. The new logo removes the NHL shading, and some unnecessary lines as you can see above. The debate will continue.

  1. I think the best part of all this is how the FO is compromising with some of its more outspoken fans.
Merritt has focus group data proving the new logo is superior, and he also contracted to a well known branding company in Mississippi, one that worked on several college brands in the SEC I believe.

Welcome to the MLS, I bet Timbers merchandise will be a really big seller. Research will be proven right, a majority of customers prefers this type of logo to the old worn out Timbers logo.

  2. Some look at this as a victory for the 107ist but it is a compromise by the FO. Many of the outspoken fan will never be happy with anything. If some of them look at this as a victory good for them. The new logo is fine and I see no need of the secondary logo to be made the main logo as many on the soccer city usa board have stated. Even the MLS logo put on the topic page is secondary one. The only thing I have a problem with is the moss neon green. The Timber keep the neon moss green on their stuff they sell I will not buy the new stuff.
