The Ivory Coast qualified for their first ever World Cup in 2006, but failed to make it out of the first round. The Ivory Coast football team is known as the Elephants, and they have players playing at the highest levels all over the world. 2010 won't any easier than 2006, as they drew the group of death; Group G, Brazil, Portugal and North Korea.
Player to Watch
Didier Drogba has the ability to change the game for the Elephants and has proved that through the years with Chelsea. One thing to pay particular attention to is his free kicks from out side the box, has an amazing ability to caress the ball into the corners of the net. Watch for Ivory's breaking attacks that result in defenders having no choice but to pull down the attacker. Drogba will step in and if he is in the zone, expect fireworks.
