Mandjou Keita Signs Overseas

The writing was on the wall....

Goal.com
- I-League: Pune FC Sign Former Salgaocar Striker Mandjou Keita

Mandjou Keita was the 2009 USL points leader and a big part of the Timbers 2009 unbeaten streak.

Unfortunately, things didn't pan out out Keita's way in 2010, as he struggled in games for us. He came from his loan spell with Salgaocar and scored against AC St. Louis, but that goal was lost in a 3 point drought.

Keita's 2009 prowess never panned out this season and he was relegated to the bench. The 2010 season slowly unfolded and Keita was MIA. The points Keita put up in 2009, would have been very helpful this year. Mandjou Keita we wish you all the best in the I-League, and hopefully someday you and your family will watch a Timbers match in the North End with the rest of us.

We wish Keita the best of luck in his endeavors. Thanks for all the goals. Here's a sample...

At the hour mark Captain Luciano Sabrosa, headed a Francis Fernandes cross towards Keita, who headed it past the Mumbai FC keeper for the equalizer.
