Ian Joy: Wants to play in MLS 4 or 5 years

Ian Joy on MLS:
I share those same passions and fit in very well here at the club. It's no secret that I want to play in MLS again next season and I have every intention of doing that with Portland Timbers. I have proved my fitness this season and, at only 29, I want to continue my playing career at the highest level in America for the next four or five years.

Ian Joy on Timbers fans:
They are right up there, not just with the best in this country, but the best in the world. It is safe to say that the similarities between St. Pauli fans and Timbers fans are there because of their political beliefs and the noise that they generate during games. They use football not just to enjoy a game, but to also promote or demonstrate how they feel and that is something very special to me.
There's a reason why this guy is becoming a fan favorite, and why he was made captain.  He shows a lot of passion and emotion for his team on and off the field.
