Boca Juniors Friendly

The Timbers will host the Argentinean club team Boca Juniors at PGE Park on Saturday, May 29th at 7:00PM. The team is from the La Boca neighborhood of Buenos Aires and one of the world's most storied football clubs.
"We are thrilled to welcome one of the world’s most prestigious clubs to Portland, said Timbers head coach and general manager Gavin Wilkinson. “Boca Juniors carries an unparalleled tradition of success and history. They have produced some of the best players to play the game and regularly feature world-caliber players. This will be an incredible game for our fans."
The club has awesome supporters and the home stadium Alberto J. Armando Stadium, better known as La Bombonera, is considered one of the most intense places to play a match. Their cross town rivalry with River Plate, named the SuperClasico is considered one of the world's most fiercest.

Since we are not the only ones, we decided to be the best ones.

  4. Also the Backstreet Boys have performed at Estadio Alberto J. Armando, so I think we are all good.

  5. It's a shame Riquelme (knee surgery), Palermo, Monzon, Morel Rodriguez, Medel, (National team duty), Gaitan (sold to Benfica) won't be playing against the Timbers. Expect to see Boca's reserve team. If he plays, right back Ibarra could be the only left over from the 2007 Copa Libertadores Champion's squad.
